Plantation Drive Leisure Trail Improvement Project

11/21/24 Community Update-

Project work on the Plantation Leisure Trail, from Lighthouse Road to the Stoney-Baynard Ruins, including asphalt resurfacing, realignment, and widening where feasible, were completed earlier this month.

This week, crews returned to complete the installation of stamped crosswalks along Plantation Drive (as shown in the picture), begin line striping, and install detectable warning pavers.


10/31/24 Community Update-

Repair, construction, and paving work on the Plantation Leisure Trail, from Lighthouse Road to the Stoney-Baynard Ruins, will be completed as of Friday, November 1. Crews are scheduled to return to complete line stripping and crosswalk stamping.


10/24/24 – Beginning the week of October 28, 2024, Sea Pines CSA’s contractors will begin repair and construction work on the Plantation Leisure Trail from Lighthouse Road to the Stoney-Baynard Ruins. Weather permitting, project work is expected to take approximately 1 week to complete and includes:

  • Asphalt resurfacing
  • Line striping
  • Realignment and widening where feasible

    • The leisure trail will be closed during this time. Click here to access the Sea Pines Leisure Trail map for alternative routes.
    • During project work, single-lane road closures and traffic control measures will be implemented. Be prepared for vehicle detours.
    • Note: New stamped crosswalks at intersections along Plantation Drive will be installed at a later date.
